We have definitions for the Internet: the set of hosts that can be reached using the lingua franca of TCP/IP. But what is the World Wide Web, commonly called the Web, and from a technical view, what is the Web public-key infrastructure?

The collection of entities — CA’s, those running web sites, and users who often use commodity browsers — that send and retrieve information over the Internet.
